Ben Segenreich

Ben Segenreich, born on March 3rd, 1952 in Vienna, is an Austrian-Israeli journalist, correspondent and Middle East expert of the ORF in Israel (Tel Aviv). Segenreich graduated from the French Lyceum in Vienna and studied physics and mathematics in Paris and Vienna. In his student days he stood up for victims of anti-Semitic discrimination and Jewish dissidents in the Soviet Union. After completing his doctorate in physics, he worked as a software developer and at the same time as an Austrian correspondent for the Israeli daily newspaper "Maariv". In 1983 he emigrated to Israel and worked as a software developer. From 1989 he was a correspondent for Austrian, German and Swiss newspapers and magazines. Since 1990, Ben Segenreich has worked as a television and radio correspondent for the ORF in Israel.
