Testimonial von Paulinka Kreisberg - Wiesenthal für Simon Wiesenthal

My father dedicated his life to moral redemption, to Nazism of justice, while at the same time giving the victims their dignity and self-esteem that had been trampled on for years and worse. For this he is known.
Perhaps less well known is that every person threatened in his/her existence, regardless of whether he was a Jew or a non-Jew, was attached to my father's heart, regardless of which minority he belonged to. From his own bitter experience, he knew what it meant to lose everything, to flee, to try and save his life.
I'm sure he - the eternal optimist – would have appreciated this memorial to the escape and to the bravery of the people who made it possible, as a shining example of victory over evil.
