Viola Raheb

Daughter of a long-established Palestinian Christian family in Bethlehem. She studied educational sciences and Protestant theology at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg. Until September 2002, she was a counselor of the Evangelical Lutheran Schools in Jordan and Palestine (ELCJ). Viola Raheb has lived in Vienna since 2002 and works as a self-employed consultant in the field of development cooperation and intercultural dialogue for state and civil society organizations. In the wake of the recent refugee crisis in the Middle East, Dr. Raheb organized several international conferences and held numerous workshops and trainings for teachers, civil servants and NGOs in the field of integration of refugees, especially children, adolescents and women. She is a member of numerous organizations and committees working for peace and dialogue. Dr. Viola Raheb is a university assistant at the Department of Religious Studies, Faculty of Protestant Theology at the University of Vienna.
