Liesl Geisler-Scharfetter

Her life includes, with a bit of edge blurring, the 20th century: 2 world wars, economic crisis, hunger and abandonment of women and children, reconstruction. In 1932 in the cathedral of Salzburg the Krimmler Sandbichltochter Elisabeth Unterwurzacher marries the owner of the Krimml Tauern Lodge Friedrich Geisler, with whom she had two sons, Franz and Adi. The connection lasts only 11 years: In March 1943, Friedl tragically died. In 1946 Liesl married the ski and mountain guide Bert Scharfetter.
